Anita Barone

A stage actress that is versatile and has mainly been cast in shows on TV, Anita Barone received her biggest break on the stage as the partner of Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which was a one-season show on ABC between 1995 and. Barone made her first acting appearance in a stage production at the age of 5 in Detroit in the city where she born after moving with her family to the city from St Louis. When she was 23 Barone was on stage in more than 50 shows mostly at university productions as well as regional theatres. She was Juliet, the tormented young nun in "Agnes of God,"" Helen Keller, the leading character of "Monday After the Miracle"" and Juliet as well on screen in "Romeo as well as Juliet." The actress made her screen debut through a brief appearance in "The Roseary Murders" (1987), had an appearance as a character in "Ricochet" (1991) and landed a lead in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" (1996). Barone was commissioned by NBC in the 1990-91 time frame as a stockholder in "Carol & Company", the ill fated project by Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety show. Barone has also been featured in"The Wounded Heart" on the USA Network movie "Wounded Heart" in 1995. She eventually went back to her routine on sitcoms, costarring with Michael Chiklis on "Daddio".
